Great book choice, and well said. Very informational and picked good terms of social justice. not only does it apply to historical fiction but like you said applies to raise awareness of blind people as well.
This seems like a great book. I agree with your social justice elements. Knowing yourself and respecting others from their experiences is important for children to learn. Giving children the experience from this book can also teach them to value people with varying abilities
